NZCER have recently published a report on the Sport in Education Initiative. This programme started in 2013 and focuses on how to use sport as a context for teaching and learning with the aim of improving academic, social and sporting outcomes. Eight schools across New Zealand were chosen to be part of the project.
Teachers at the schools worked together to integrate sport into other curriculum areas. The report outlines some of the success stories and how it is making a significant difference for students, teachers, and schools.
